so Chiyo's hard drive just crashed. AGAIN. I seriously don't know what the hell it is about that computer that makes it eat hard drives. This is the third hard drive it's done this to.
goddammit. On top of that, technology is outpacing me and anything I'm trying to do, and I'm at a dead end. The internet isn't responding to anything any more, and all I can think is "how the fuck do the big companies do it then?" ... and then I remember how infinitessimal my resources are in comparison with theirs. ... goddammit. -_-

I don't take this statement lightly, but this could possibly be the best video game ever created. My mind is spinning with all the possibilities. o_o
Wright, I never really played any Sim since the original SimCity, but holy shit. I'll play this. If and when you get it off the ground, you will be my god.

Update?
The TGA trip was good. Really good. Matt and Paul, it was nice to see you again, and Alex, good to meet you. There were a few more things at TGA that I'd have brought supplies to fix had I known, but I suppose you can't have your cake and eat it too. Ah well, it was nice to get out there. 28 hour roadtrip sucked, but I suppose we made the best of it. I finally got to play Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright (OH GOD SO GOOD), and I finished The Godfather. So it wasn't a complete waste of time. Best quote of the trip:
Waitress at Applebee's: Minnesota? Why are you all the way out here?
Us: Arcade.
Her: Hahahaha. No seriously, why?
Us: Arcade.
Controllers are coming along a little slowly, but now that the finish line is getting closer in sight, the little steps along the way don't seem quite as daunting. I'm thankful that people have been so patient along the way; it really means a lot to me. ^_^
Hunting was fairly successful this year. I got three, all on opening morning. Nobody else got any, but three's enough to keep all of us fed for another year. I'd like to tan the hides myself - a deerskin coat would be amazing. We'll see how that goes.
What else? ... I applied for a mathematician job with the NSA today. Hope I'll hear something back from them soon; I think that'd be a really interesting job to have. Cracking codes and such. On another note, life without Adderall sucks. No health insurance for the past two months = no prescription drugs. And withdrawal from Adderall isn't so much physical as it is mental. You sleep all the time, and when you're not sleeping, you're tired, groggy or just apathetic. I started to come out of it around the beginning of November, but still, it's tough. More irritating than anything, though.
More updates coming later. Maybe. -_-

So yesterday turned out to be the best day I've had in I don't even know how long.
- JavaScript shits DONE. I can't believe that had me wrapped up for a solid month. Computer work is way too much effort for way too little result. Oh well. It looks decent and works awesome. So hopefully that'll be something I can depend on for a good long while. And with that behind me, I'm looking to be done with this by Saturday. OMG FREE TIME?! SURELY YOU JEST!
- OMG I GOT MY BEMANISTYLE DATA BACK?! Wow. Keith rocks for finally coming through on that. :D And on top of that, got some little presents from Eddie. <3
- Pop'n 13 (Carnival) unlocks being revealed, the first of which I've been hoping for on the last three releases... HORROR EX! someone up there loves me. and by "up there", I mean "over in japan somewhere".
- GUITAR FREAKS/DRUMMANIA V IS COMING TO PS2. :O~ Holy crap, did I ever pick the right time to get back into that game.
- The Nintendo Revolution controller is... interesting. Time will only tell if it'll attract all sorts of new, interesting game developers... or if it will alienate them all completely and permanently. ¬_¬
And I found the best Pop'n icons while poking around yesterday morning, and people were generally awesome all day. Thank you everyone, you really made my day. Along with all the other things that decided to go right yesterday.

Things have been really difficult lately, to say the least. Quite frankly, they've been absolute shit. (... There was a big recap of the summer here, but I can't quite find the words to say how I've felt during it all. Maybe later.)
